Great movie. The bosses are white men, which is rare these days. The only wokeness is the lead woman. She is pretty much the brains of the computer world. But unlike a lot of movies she isn’t beating the shit out of a guy twice her size
Other than a one liner about not voting republican when asked if you're a patriot, it wasn't woke. It was Mission Impossible with some comedy. I somewhat agree with the other review, although Aubrey seemed miscast on first impressions, she was filled the role well and was great in just about every scene. If anything, it was the out of place token black character. Could have been filled by a hispanic or asian just the same. Or white if you didn't want to go woke. A sequel would be welcomed.
Mediocre Guy Ritchie, With Mild Woke
The only woke is token black character and a comment about not voting republican when asked about being a patriot. Not a good Guy Ritchie film however. Some great actors, but a cliché story and some really oddly written dialogue. None on the humor lands and all the dialogue just feels off and out of place somehow. The action scenes are typical, not bad but nothing special.
Woke & Dull
I wanted to enjoy this film being a fan of the Male leads, Jason, Josh, Cary, Hugh, but I just found it so dull with drowned scene's filled with pointless dialog, some really cringy and woke. The Wokeness in this film comes from the Female lead who is just unbearable to listen to and who's also suppose to be the comedic element, but it completely misses the mark and also just becomes cringy and hard to watch. I couldn't even finish the film, I turned it off at 1hr. I still had 53mins to go!
