Azkatl: más allá de la cancha

Noemi Arzate—a trans woman, mother, and activist—founded the Azkatl soccer team 18 years ago with a simple goal: to play without fear. On the “El Barril” pitch in Azcapotzalco, what began as a match evolved into a movement. Through the voices of those involved and set to the rhythm of 'sonidero' music, the story unfolds of how a soccer ball became a tool of resistance, transforming a hostile environment into a space of freedom, identity, and celebration for the LGBT+ community.
