ME AND HIM

During a party, Axel finds himself unable to fit in or connect amid the crowd. Observing the room, he discovers the presence of a doppelgänger: an extroverted, charismatic, and idealised version of himself. Face-to-face in a neutral space, the two confront each other over childhood photographs and fragmented memories. While the outgoing alter ego attempts to uphold a flawless image that meets social expectations, the reclusive self brings to light the anxiety, vulnerability, and grief they have tried to conceal. Me and Him is an intrapersonal exploration of the friction between the public persona demanded by the world and the vulnerable self that resides in solitude
