Miolo

The June Festival is approaching, when the bumba-meu-boi is traditionally celebrated in São Luís. Codó is the “miolo”, the dancer who brings the enchanted bull to life. Yet he finds himself under pressure from the end of his lease, the loss of his job contract, and the progres­sion of his father’s Alzheimer’s, whom he cares for alone.
