During a severe storm in southern Chile, two tourists are helped by an elderly man who offers them shelter from the rain in his home; left with no other choice, the two young women accept. There, they are compelled to listen to the man’s local tales about the area: a police investigation involving the "Invunche" creature, the truth behind an unsolved crime known as "La Calchona, " and the abduction of a young woman by the "TueTue" bird.
