As they work together in the investigation, Blomkvist and Salander uncover immense corruption beyond anything they have ever imagined.

The woke still made it fun
There is plenty of "woke" in the character of Lisbeth in terms of her ultra-feminist character. But it's not a hinderance to her character building or the story; in fact, it's essential. What made her the mess that she is? There's enough motivation and emotional distress in the perfect portrayal that you can't help but be fascinated. Woke, yeah. But the kind of woke we like.
