The Long Game
Dare to dream
In a segregated Texas, five Mexican-American teenage caddies were prohibited from playing at the country club where they worked. Against all odds, they formed their own team, built a one-hole course in the fields, and won the 1957 Texas State championship. Based on a true story.

Racial issues and underdog sports theme combined.
There was good potential. It just didn't come together. The racial issues were too forced. The agenda was obvious. A dramatic depiction of racist history isn't necessarily a bad thing. This movie was just too overbearing. The agenda was blatant from beginning to end. The acting was very good. The underdog story, aside from being a worn out theme, was overshadowed by the angry, agenda-driven writing and direction. Maybe I'll read the book, Mustang Miracle.
