The Outfit

Everyone has something up their sleeve.

Leonard is an English tailor who used to craft suits on London’s world-famous Savile Row. After a personal tragedy, he’s ended up in Chicago, operating a small tailor shop in a rough part of town where he makes beautiful clothes for the only people around who can afford them: a family of vicious gangsters.

Waste of time

It’s the 1950’s gangland Chicago, where all the feminazis have taken over and the gangs are now all run by black women. What started out as a normal and rather interesting gang story reached midpoint and was injected with woke like a turkey baster up the producer’s very gay asshole.

Not worth your time.

Good telling of a good story

The woke: Toward the end, it was revealed that the French, rival, number-running gang, is matriarchal. The boss is an attractive, black woman. I doubt that's realistic. It seems like maybe it's just checking the box for production. I think all MPAA rated movies need that. It's not too bothersome to enjoy the movie.

I'm a big fan of single scene movies. This one takes place entirely within the Cutter's shop. The acting and story line are showcased this way. Both are exceptional. There's obviously more to Leonard than meets the eye. When the story finally gets through all the layers, the ending is worth the wait.

I recommend watching.
