Twisted
Artsy, quirky, twisted films like this were more common in the 80's and 90's. Thoroughbreds is similar to American Beauty, if the focus had been on the troubled teens instead of the gay, pedophile father. (See what I did there?) This film has quite a different feel to it, though, and the few comedic moments are delivered very dryly. Plus, fortunately, there is no gay or pedophile stuff.
One advantage of a film where all the main characters are psycho is that there is no place to put forced diversity hires. I saw nothing woke. The two main male characters are rather despicable, but that's also true of the two main female characters.
Acting was superb. Cinematography and pacing was on point. However, it won't be everyone's cup of tea, because it is twisted and disturbing. Even I didn't really find it enjoyable, exactly, but I'll give it a 3.5/5 and round up to 4/5 for no wokeness.
