Star Wars: 4K77
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Project 4K77 is a massive, fan-led film preservation project dedicated to restoring the original, unaltered 1977 theatrical release of Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope) in native 4K resolution. It was created by a dedicated group of archivists and fans known as Team Negative One, who wanted to rescue the original film from what many consider "the memory hole" of corporate and directorial revisions.
