One day, Akira Uesugi is left at a loss when his girlfriend, Chihiro, suddenly breaks up with him. Staking his pride as a man, Uesugi resolves to become a gigolo—a man who can surpass the number one host—and joins the long-established host club, American Dream. Beneath the glitzy façade, the industry was a whirlpool of problems: conflicts between hosts over money and clients, female jealousy, drugs and the yakuza… Akira teams up with Kato, a fellow rookie host, and hones his skills, rising from being a ‘help’ to a ‘booked host’, and eventually transforming from a host into a first-class gigolo.
