Remember when Will Smith was cool? He’s no Independence Day star anymore. This is all about how this multi-millionaire is oppressed and downtrodden by the evil white men. Yeah, give me a break, weird-ass cultist.

Not woke by the storyline, but I see why some people might think it is
Not really woke.
The the presence of alien characters however could be interpreted as alluding to "racism". But the plot and storyline doesn't seem to support that interpretation. One group of alien characters suffered no discrimination, yet, they were deemed as the antagonists.
The blatanty prostitution and club scenes however might be distasteful, but they only appear in 3 short scenes. Perhaps VidAngel's filter could filter those out
