Chris and his girlfriend Rose go upstate to visit her parents for the weekend. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.

It's pretty woke, but actually really entertaining and well done
I can't deny that there are definitely strong woke elements to this one, but in the end I rather enjoyed it.
Think "Being John Malkovich" but a horror version
One of my guilty pleasures perhaps, but it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat

Woke ? Yes ! Good ? Yes ! !
The core is woke, absolutely, definitely. That's the essence of the story. But... It's damn good too, very well executed. Can't skip this one ! I know a masterpiece when I see one. Give this one a chance, if you're a cinema fan.

Derivative movie, see Seconds a much more interesting and certainly higher quality movie.
The story is obvious and derivative. The comedy sidekick is incredibly irritating. They keep making average to poor movies where the original movie or concept is far superior.
