Braveheart 2
This Netflix film is "Braveheart 2", picking up almost right where Braveheart lopped off. Enter Robert the Bruce, stage right. Might as well make it a double feature night.
Unfortunately, Outlaw King does not have outlaw director Mel Gibson. And the woke Netflix director enriched Middle Ages Scotland with blacks. There are only a few and only for a moment. Surprisingly, they weren't kings but rather street performers. Still, the year is 1306. Global trade routes were not so global at this time and Scotland was very remote. It's highly unlikely that any blacks were this far north. What's the big deal? It's a slippery slope from this to the BBC's campaign to rewrite the history of Britain as centering on blacks. I take a dim view of rewriting history, but, like the King of England, I shall be merciful and penalize just 1 woke point.
Minor spoiler follows.
The woke virus is a known cause of brain damage. The result here is a one-on-one combat of two kings while literally not one other person on the battlefield is even aware of it going on. This braindead scene reduces my overall rating to 4/5.
