Free Guy
Life's too short to be a background character.

Mostly just fun.
Aside from snide racist comments in the workplace of our protagonist programmer, this is pretty much a fun and un-woke story. There's a little bit of feminism here and there and touches of homosexuality, but nothing offensive to the audience in any way. Enjoy.

Diverse City
Not just token BIPOC/DIE casting, but whites were a minority. Some zoomer one liners. This was a seattle/silicon valley progressive cast based on Fortnite. But nothing indoctrinating or woke.

Talks gender role rejection, patriarchy, white privilege, toxic masculinity
When I saw the movie Free Guy, as much as I enjoyed certain aspects of it, I really wish they'd left out lines like, "[She] wrote a memoir that's a searing indictment of gender roles, the patriarchy; it's a little preachy in parts but, over all, it's pretty good," or "The first time I kiss a non-toxic guy in, like, forever," or "That story sounds horrible and boring and full of white privilege." A film critic who also couldn't help but notice wrote, "Lieberman’s script attempts to sneak in some woke social commentary in the most sanctimonious ways imaginable." Free Guy was directed and produced by Shawn Levy from a story by Matt Lieberman and a screenplay by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn, all of whom are Jewish, and by no means untalented.

Think for yourself
Anything with Ryan Renolds in it is automaticlal woke
His brand of sarcastic humour always strikes me as queer. Fun film though.
p.s. reading the other reviews, I see that I overlooked some rather damning quotes from the script that seem woke. When I am watching a film I try to filter out woke crap so as to enjoy the film. Glad someone else noticed them.

Sorry. I quit watching after about 30 minutes. Just the typical white privilege, male hating blah blah blah. I feel like Hollywood made this movie in an attempt to overcome the NPC meme. Which is actually kind of funny. At least I didn’t pay to see it. Not exactly sure why I tried. Hard pass.

Fun Ryan Reynolds vehicle
Let's be honest, Reynolds carries the whole movie here. Main role, credited among producers, and a firm named "Maximum Effort" involved in production.
The other actors are quite adequate, they just don't outshine the star.
Waititi is quite good as a villain: he's callous, arrogant and loud-mouthed. Oh wait, he's not acting.
The inclusion of real-world internet celebrities was maybe not the best move, as they don't translate so well to the big screen. Then again, what do I know, especially about them?
It's fun, it's colourful, it's well-paced, and it's very Reynolds-y. Sort of goody-two-shoes Deadpool.
I did tick the woke elements box, as the movie does tick some woke talking points, mostly as throw-away lines, probably intended to throw the mentally-challenged a few bones while not irking normal people.
The movie itself clearly does not toe the party line; all the good guys are white, while the main antagonist and his de facto crony are both they/thems of colour.
Not that I care, but it will probably ruffle feathers among the 81 millions. Those in actual current existence, that is.
