Woke doesn't include only sexuality. Something is woke if it constantly tries to deliver "the message". Shazam is oozing of woke shit just like the other superhero movies that recently came out.

STOP GIVING MOVIES A "SUPER WOKE" WITHOUT EXPLAINING IT!!!

If you watched the first "Shazam!" movie, you're in for a treat. The movie celebrates everything the original did and added more comedic elements to it. As for the wokeness, there is a scene where Billy (shazam) and his foster siblings (the other champions) tell their foster parents that they are super heroes. One character, Pedro, takes this as his sign to say "I'm gay" instead of the "we're superheroes". This is the ONLY mention of Pedro's sexuality. I personally thought that was a funny way to include the wokeness that bleeds into every mainstream superhero movie ever. Great watch, but I would HIGHLY advise to watch the first "Shazam!" movie before this.

Fury of the Woke!

First couple minutes this film checks off almost every woke think imaginable. ((David F. Sandberg)) must have a list to ensure everything woke is there.

Erasure of history accuracy - asian in roman attire🗸
Brown Gay non greek in "Greece" 🗸
Enemies only beat up White people and negative imagery of White man aggressively jumping a woman 🗸
Perverted Gay kid 🗸
Diverse superheroes - when in reality business want diversity since they know less likely to work together to complain about work 🗸
Pushing therapy as the "answer" to problems which promotes antidepressants! 🗸
Bunch of random woke cinematography shots during the bridge scene 🗸
Blackwashing wizard 🗸

This was about 5 mins or so and it was as much as I could get through. The message of films by ((Sandberg)) pushes judeo propaganda to the max. Only thing missing is a tranny. You are better off staring at a wall then watching this garbage.

Woke - Understood | And a review!

To elaborate - The definition of "woke" is marred by many and it's generally used if something is not absolutely consistent to a specific standard previously set. It's also up for interpretation. That's not the space for this so to the movie!

Wokeness 1/5 - For sure. There's mention of being gay, how it's obviously (and has been for years) socially acceptable and how it's still not easy to conform for those with that genetic disposition. There's other tiny elements of wokeness but nothing that's pressing in it's ideology and it does not in ANY way compromise the movie.

Movie Rating 4/5 - The special effects weren't as fantastical or high-end as other movies but they were spot on with delivery.

The direction of the movie was unlike I've seen before. I have to speak on this in a bit more detail because I think this is where we've seen misses in many modern movies. This movie is a sequel, completely wrapped up in a prequel follow up with an entire movie in terms of plot. The 'every' direction is completely spot on. From story-telling to cultural integration to actual story dissemination. I can't praise this movie enough for it's clear-cut immersion effect.

I could speak for a bit longer on how much I liked this movie but as for one who's ULTRA PISSED OFF at cutting Cavil out of the Superman spot and not in anyway understand the current direction, this Shazam sequel gives me some hope.

Totally worth an Amazon in-house purchase / rent for the family with kids over eight (if you're okay with VERY limited swearing and no graphic violence)

This is a must watch for those who are sick of wokeness, understand that people of all types Do exist but it's not being Force-Fed down your throat IN sake of telling the story. God bless, I hope you find this review helpful.

Better than I thought, but I thought pretty bad.

I was able to watch it fully, and laughed alot, but really ended up not liking it very much. The first one was much much better.

Not As Good As The First One But Still Entertaining

So woke is a way over the top DEI casting in the main characters as well as the background characters. You wont see many white people in this. One of the kids announcing he's gay and all of them saying they know and don't care is completely pointless and only there for one reason. The movie itself is pretty well done. The acting is generally pretty good and the VFX are better than most modern superheroes movies right now. It does get a little cheesy and cringe with some of the dialogue in parts but not enough that it ruined the movie. If you enjoyed the first one I would say this is worth a watch.
