An employee in the company of Nutan Prasad's brother Pandurangam, Anand Mohan falls in love with Nutan Prasad's daughter Padma. Anand Mohan rescues Lakshmi Prasad from his suicide bid following losses in business, and gets him a job in the company in which he works. Lakshmi Prasad falls in love with Lalitha a girl from his own village, when he meets her in the city.
