Appetizing yet cliched and almost uneventful story
I’ve seen this movie on Great American Family Network, so I am somewhat caught off guard that there weren’t any biblical knowledge or verses cited on a network that claims it so. I am presuming that it is only because it is broadcasting the movie.
It is almost easy to lose interest in the movie, but for any viewer who loves romance would find it endearing. Few things to note though, the female protagonist calls her lover to be the prince who “completes her”, except it is only Christ who can complete the two. Meanwhile, the way how the main couple helped each other as they grew attracted to each other reminded me of the subtle implications of the Song of Songs book in the bible in how romances should be handled. Finally, there are no woke elements and the film captures the essence of small town America.
