Jorge, a frustrated writer, finds a cell phone and decides to keep it. He begins receiving messages from Amanda, an actress who has just returned to the city and believes she is talking to her ex-partner, the phones owner. Driven by a desire for connection, Jorge replies and begins to assume someone elses identity.
