The beginning of the end for quality BBC television
I watched 2 seasons as the pacing wasn't great and it had its ups and downs. I liked the setting of Medival England and the chemistry between the main two characters - Merlin and Arthur. The overall cast also did a good job, the acting was solid and the sets were also good.
What I didn't like was they raceswapped Guinivere and her father. They are now the only 2 black people in Medival England and no one in the village makes a comment. If you want to see cultural shock, look up white tourists going to small African villages and the children being shocked and not knowing how to react. Now imagine that in the Middle Ages, this decision was created purely for the liberal cretins who like this and think it's somehow making the world better, they nor anyway else knows how but trust them bro. There were also the beginnings of woke ideology in entertainment with feminism but those were minor. Of course feminists having won equal rights and everyone being happy for decades, suddenly think that women have it bad in the 21st century for unknown reasons. If you ignore the minor woke and the raceswapping, give it a try, it's not a bad show for the first few seasons.
