Naked And Afraid: Castaways
Nine challengers are abandoned at a remote tropical island, with no maps or tools, miles away from civilization. In teams of three, they must swim to different ecosystems on the same island – sun-scorched beach, twisted mangrove swamp and dense jungle – to begin their distinct survival journeys.

Yet another Naked and Afraid
Some spin-offs of Naked and Afraid are lame, but this one has potential.
The original Naked and Afraid at first allowed the use of found trash, but in later seasons I think they mostly disallowed that. However, Castaways centers on the use of washed up junk. In fact, they start with nothing, just an empty sack. This adds new possibilities and new ways for the participants to use their brains to last 21 days in the wild.
There is one gay guy, but in this show he hasn't said he is gay, much less made it an issue, so that's fine. I see no wokeness in the first 7 episodes. Regular Naked and Afraid is woke, though, so we'll see if Castaways stays safe.
In both XL and Castaways, it seems that the heavy hand of the producer is causing groups to "accidentally" find each other. But in Castaways, the island is small and they have a common destination, so it's barely plausible that these encounters were by chance.
Overall, decent.
