Best of the best. The series that started it all.

Still great
"Star Trek" is technically slightly woke. For example, we have the Vulcan IDIC (Infinity Diversity in Infinite Combinations) and the post-money, post-scarcity pseudo-communist utopia. However, the proto-wokeness is more than offset by the 1960's social norms.
Visual effects are sometimes laughable, but many have been updated in remasterings.
The episode "Mirror, Mirror", with the evil alternate universe, is probably a reference to the sudden shift in America in the early 60's, with the assassination of President Kennedy and the unpopular involvement in the Vietnam War. Today we are witnessing another sudden shift in our government, even farther into darkness.

"Star Trek Continues"
"Star Trek Continues" picks up right where "Star Trek" left off. It does not have its own page here, so I will append my review for it. It is fan made, but super production quality and amazingly accurate sets. The new actors for Kirk, Spock, and the rest take a while to get used to, but eventually they became those characters for me. Search for its website and you can watch there. 5/5 overall, but maybe 1/5 woke.
