Kirk Jones is okay-ish as Blade.
Episode 1: Liked the Blade's sunglass actually being useful equipment (temperature checking + camera), instead of just a cool factor. I mean, he does most of his work at night; normal sunglasses at night just don't make sense. There was never mention of Blade's father in the movies, but suddenly Robert Brooks, who was his father, was in his life for 10 years and provided him blood!
Episode 2: Too much unnecessary sexual tension, and it almost went lesbian mode, but it didn't yet. Also, "it" almost happened in Episode 4 too. This "Chase (character name)" woman was showing way too much horniness ๐Ÿ˜’ towards "Krista." "Nothing" happened yet. I just think the suggestive-lesbian theme was the idea of Geoff Johns; he was a "consulting producer" in the series. It's just my personal suspicion since he worked in lesbian-filled comics before for DC. AGAIN, JUST MY SUSPITION, NO PROOF OF HIS INFLUENCE ON THESE SCENES.
Episode 8: So, the young Abraham Whistler already knew about Blade (kid) while his father was with him? But according to the movie, old Whistler found Blade while he (B) was a teenager and was about to bite a homeless guy! This is very confusing, since this series was supposed to be a continuity of the movies (as far as I know). Well, at least how Whistler got his right leg broken was solved in the episode.
I'm not a democrat or republican (both are evil). Just saying there are some very small real-world political references in episodes 8 & 9, like, according to Krista's uncle, Marcus is the "donald trump" of that city and Alex the pure blood not liking "old tradition" (this was told in a way that feels like it is a mix of real-world & vampire politics)... Which are not exactly "to the face" and are very small and ignorable.
Episode 12: And there's the lesbo kiss right at the end between Chase & Krista ๐Ÿ˜‘ (after Krista got out of the shower), which was absolutely unnecessary in this scene. Even the camera angle was very, very close to the lips. Geoff Johns proving his lesbian fetish again. Can't even call that a lesbo moment, more like a bisexual moment, since both of them did "it" with men.
Episode 13: Marcus says to Shen (captured), "Blade wouldn't dream of compromising his jihad in order to rescue you"! According to wikipedia, "Jihad is an Arabic word that means 'exerting', 'striving', or 'struggling', particularly with a praiseworthy aim." But why use that specific word in here ๐Ÿคจ while the Iraqi 'hero' Krista (since 'merciless killers' who kill only for their own personal gain are 'heroes' according to americans?) was standing there?
The finale feels very rushed since there are lots of plot holes there.

Are the vampires a reference to jews/zions? Since they have their hands in tons of powerful places in the world and can "silence" almost anybody who finds out anything about them.
