Okay until the second season

The story of a group of people touching down after a short flight and discovering that they'd been thought dead for ten years is compelling TV. Even the addition of a bossy, ball-breaking female lead doesn't add to the wokeness - she's actually a sympathetic character.
The first real woke comes in the form of casting, where, true to TV these days, white characters are the minority, all people in positions of power are black, and all the bad guys are white men. That said, there is no racist talk or racist comments.

There is a lot of gay stuff. Every other character is gay or non-binary. It doesn’t show in the first season all that much, but true to leftists, they squeeze all that sludge in AFTER what might have otherwise been an interesting story had gotten started. In the second season it’s all over the place.
From the beginning, there are also a lot of pro-illegal-immigration storylines. Not “immigrant” stories - actual ILLEGAL immigration.

There is mild feminism in the first season, but all the characters in power / academia all get swapped out for feminazis and lesbians in the second season.
In its defense, there are few lewd sex scenes and little vulgarity.
In the first season there is an element of Christianity added to the series that is rare on TV these days. From the second season on, that gets swapped out for the occult. No more talk of the Bible, but lot about paganism and tarot cards.

If you just watch the first season, it’s bearable. It turned me off by the second season, and I wasn’t the only one - it got cancelled by the third season, which I didn’t even get far enough to complain about. Woke ruins everything.

Woke in Season 2

The mystery of the plane disappearance quickly gives way in season 2 to woke characters and interactions.

An interesting premise poorly executed.

Not worth your time.

Extremely woke, but actual decent story

With a staggering 15 mixed-race couple instances making up all of the main characters, it’s clear that the director is a huge fan of the commercials that air on television today. Oh and that he absolutely hates white people (easily backed up by his early life section) Not only that but there is a part of the story that promotes a pro-illegal immigration message, as well as a ton of LGBTQ nausea. The only thing that makes up for all of the above is that it’s actually entertaining to watch, it has a great cast and the writing is pretty good (overlooking the woke elements).

This show is mildly woke but doesn't go out of its way to flaunt these elements. The story is very interesting and goes off the rails pretty quickly but in a good way. The mixed race and LGB couples are present but aren't shoved down your throat. There is no moral messaging on how we are supposed to feel about them. I like how it was pulled off here. I would recommend this show.
