Extremely WOKE and horrible ending.

The book was excellent. However, the mini series destroyed the story by painting it totally WOKE. For example, it found it necessary to change key characters - making 2 lesbian, and adding a number blacks to key roles, simply to introduce a racial conflict. In fact, one of the main characters is both black and lesbian. Moreover, she is portrayed as the heroine, despite the fact that she is irresponsible and a liar and a thief. While the white mother, who does everything to help her children succeed is portrayed as evil, as are her children. This mini series demonises, drive and success and celebrates, idleness, and irresponsibility.
Very WOKE and very different message from the book.
