Not Woke!

This "Superman becomes a dad" series is absolutely great. I don't believe that CW is running the show and there's absolutely no forced ideology being pressed. It is however geared toward a younger audience and is a "coming of age" "in 2022.." type of show, so keep that in mind.

With that said: The story-telling is absolutely and significantly superb, the acting and actor chemistry is the best I've seen since Firefly and the art-direction/CGI VFX are absolutely phenomenal. 5/5

This series does Not have any forced ideological pandering or indoctrination.

Super and not woke!

I loved the show. It reinforces family values, focuses on Lois and Clark's struggle as parents, and is a very refreshing change to all the woke garbage coming from DC lately.

There is no shoving of racism, LGBTQ garbage or anything of the like down anyone's throat. The worst it gets is some of the typical CW teens thinking they are adults. But that's CW for you.

Really bad after season 1

The first season was quite good except for the woke elements. Louis had a mystery to solve. We see new developments and interesting dynamics with Superman's family. After that, the writing gets really bad and doesn't give Louis anything to do or mysteries to solve which makes her and several characters around her the most boring tedious uninteresting scenes of all time.

The wokeness is largely feminist drivel. In season 1, we are expected to believe John Henry's daughter is the one who designed his suit and that she traveled back in time to follow him, just cause? This ends up being the problem with the show in that almost every scene MUST contain a woman in it. The dialogue and all the decision making is driven by women. Superman, the most capable being on Earth, makes none of the decisions without Louis deciding for him. It cuts short scenes between the two brothers and what could have been entertaining comical or even interesting dialogue in favor of introducing John Henry's daughter mid scene to spew tons of lackluster lines.

Later in Season 3 wokeness gets even worse and more toxic. A boring storyline about breast cancer. And a toxic relationship where the guy who gets cheated on is expected to apologize to the girl who cheated on him?

That's really the problem with the show. Too many women and it does nothing interesting with them past season 1.

They need to introduce new characters, and cut out Lana's whole family, newspaper editor, and please for the love of all that is holy kill off Sarah Cushing.

Again, season 1 is a 4 out of 5 maybe, but after that I give it a 2 of 5. Even season 1 has a decent number of skippable scenes. Seasons 2 and 3 are almost entirely skippable and unwatchable. Honestly, the show doesn't know what to do with John Henry (black iron man) either and he should've just returned him to his time at the season 1 finale. If they were going for hard drama, any soap opera does it better.
