One of my favorite re-watchable flicks
I can't think of any woke nonsense at all in this. Mel brings the character, Jerry to life in a way that only he could accomplish. The chemistry with Julia Roberts is perfection. Patrick Stewart is the perfect bad-guy/good-guy/bad-guy again. Let's face it, it's all Mel. Watch it. it's good.

Typical, unrealistic, action movie
The storyline is well above average for a covert operative adventure plot. The acting and direction was spectacular. The special effects are outstanding. This film contains the finest drone cinematography I've ever seen. It's worth watching for that alone. The fight scenes are typical Hollywood BS. A real hand-to-hand combat fight rarely lasts a full 30 seconds. Also, I have a problem with movies depicting women competing with men in hand-to-hand combat. It's unrealistic. In reality, women should be trained to strike-and-flee when confronted by any man willing to hurt a woman.

Judging by the first episode... Woke
We watched the first episode because the trailers looked promising. We weren't disappointed by the acting or the clever story. The main character had some homosexual neighbors. It seemed like they were going to play into the storyline so we bailed. There were some other indications of social political agenda as well.

Not really my thing but it's well done
The acting and special effects were outstanding. The storyline... not really interesting to me. I've been accused of seeing social agenda behind every bush but, if there's one in this, I missed it.

Not a great movie but the grandsons enjoyed it.
The only possible woke element is uncertain. A villain named Nun-Chuck who is dressed as a nun looks and sounds like an ugly woman. Possibly a male?

Butchered so much of The Brass Verdict
Michael Connelly is probably the best living detective novelist. I actually enjoyed the method of including storyline from two or three of his novels in each season of Bosch although there was a smidgeon of political correctness added. When I heard that the first season of Legacy was going to include elements of The Brass Verdict, I couldn't wait to see it. It is, in my opinion, the best of Connelly's novels. It's the one where Bosch meets his half brother, Mickey (The Lincoln Lawyer), who, in this series, was replaced by a person of color. There was also some LGBT+ added. It was very disappointing for me.

Great Walter Tevis novel. Almost great movie.
First of all, Anya brought the Tevis version of Beth to life with absolute perfection. There were two significant variations from the novel. One being that a major character was converted to a homosexual. The other was some deleted misbehavior by Jolene when they were in the orphanage. That omission deprived the viewer of experiencing the forgiveness that solidified her and Beth's friendship. Walter Tevis is my favorite novelist of the 20th century. He only wrote six. Aside from The Hustler, this was probably the best depiction of the 4 of his stories in film. I hope this woke craze wanes before the other two get producers attention. According to Wikipedia, Mockingbird will be the next one. It is my favorite of his novels.

Watchable. I didn't notice an agenda.
It's good to see plain entertainment without an agenda. The movie was watchable and had some pretty good moments. It's ironic that I almost didn't watch this because the trailer appeared woke.

Very good show overshadowed by agenda
The first two seasons were good, the third was tolerable but, by the middle of the 4th season, there was too much agenda built into the stories. It didn't get any better in the last season so I'm out.
