Another good show ruined.
Just watch any of the last couple seasons. The show was fantastic in the first 2-3 seasons, but then the LGBTQ, feminist tropes started making an appearance. Season 8 is super feminist / white male hate / anti white. I can no longer stand what they have done to the characters.

This show has a great premise. Season 1 was good. But the writers clearly hate straight, white males. Everyone else in the alphabet mafia are wonderful though. They use this show to get revenge one episode at a time. Just watch it and you'll see.

3rd Wave Feminism Ruins Another One
This is a great show about a Joe Leaphorn, a tribal police officer in the 70s. But by season 3, pick any woman and she'll have been written into a Mary Sue. The men fumble around being men, and since that's not female it's bad. Can't have men being men. No, men need to learn to follow a woman's lead in every decision, because of course, the women are the true authorities. It was bad enough when Feminist writers destroyed Old Man, now they have destroyed Dark Winds. Why don't you just make a purely feminist show? Oh maybe it's because no one would watch it.

Season 7 has perfected DEI!!
They've got it all; an empowered black female lead, a mixed race couple, gender swapping, race swapping, gay, Asian, elderly female actress, obese women, and incompetent and evil white men. Just about every woke trope you can imagine is encompassed in episode 3. It wasn't too overt but I had no idea that Disney + had taken over Black Mirror.

Swapped gender roles with plenty of DEI
White men are either inept or corrupt. White women are powerful and cruel, you know like "the patriarchy". The black female lead is the most intellectually superior, altruistic human on Earth. Plenty of feminist, independent women and stereotypical LGB representation. The brilliant alien can't seem to function or do his work without a stream of even more brilliant females to help him tie his shoes. Every facet of this show is colored by typical woke, feminist, DEI programming.
No surprises though. This was made by CBS Studios. CBS Studios produced Star Trek: Discovery, which has been praised for its inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters, as well as shows that tackle issues of race and gender, like The Equalizer or The Good Fight.

Every couple mixed race, really?
The two co stars are in 3 mixed race relationships between them. The one lesbian character is in a mixed race relationship.
In Canada there is about 7% of white to non white unions. The writers and producers of this show are overly representing that segment for whatever reason. It's not statistically sound.

Do you love girl bosses?
This is a pretty good show if you can stomach the 3rd wave feminist trope of gender role reversal where the masculine women do not bow to men even in the 1870s on the frontier.
Women being physically weaker than men, would have been treated as inferior back in a time and environment where one had to live by one's might or become a victim.
But the woke writers of this show are trying to drag out the fantasy as long as they can until it becomes unfashionable, which will be sometime in 2025.

Made to order 2024 alien enthusiasm
There has been an explosion in the online alien video genre. Lots of B grade investigative type shows are popping up like this one. It's entertaining, but the people featured in this series and ex-whatever, govt / military / scientist are without much personality to engage the viewer. Except for the recycled appearance of figures more prominent in more popular series like Melon and Bigalow, it seems this series is trying to introduce new characters but they do little to carry viewer intrigue. They are kind of just there. They make a lot of sweeping statements and claims leading viewers to a conclusion but don't offer much evidence. I'm half way through the series and it better pick up or I may not be able to keep watching. I wouldn't call it woke, but they do have one gay ex military pilot helping do investigations for whatever reason which could just as easily be done by George Knapp alone. None of the characters that work with George are necessary at all including the ex-CIA guy. This series could just as easily be called Knapp Alien Investigations.

Strong LGBT Narrative
The first season did a great job weaving the homosexual characters into the story so that they were a part of it. Now it's gratuitous.
Season 2 is spending so much time highlighting gay night life, you'd think it was Disney +. Paramount owns Showtime and they have long since bent the knee to DEI so it's no wonder.
They've taken a great narrative about Chief Harris and handed it over to a heaping dose of woke writers, with Game of Thrones level preoccupation with homosexuality.
