Part 2 of a 3 part series. Continues directly after part 1. The DEI black brother and mixed sister with her lesbian white girlfriend are back but in minor roles the bookend the main story here. Ziggy character is the modern angry, aggressive, generally nasty unlikable modern feminist character. Almost the exact same character as the main one from part 1 actually. I immediately hated her as she is such a terrible person. Alice is another annoying female character and there is some general girl power stuff and DEI casting choices but nowhere near as woke as part 1. They got the music, clothes and aesthetics right for time but that's about it. The language, attitudes camera angles and everything else is off and just feels like modern kids playing a part. The story is cliché but it does move along the main overarching plot nicely. There are some pretty brutal kills and some decent blood and gore FX. However writing once again is just
not very good. You know there is a killer on the loose and you go running around camp alone screaming loudly trying to find people. Character breaks her ankle with the bone sticking out the side of her leg and just pushes it back in and is up and walking with barely a limp then
climbs up a rock wall face unassisted. Another character takes an axe swing to the leg and later is running across a field. Character is stabbed repeatedly in the abdomen with a large butcher knife and dies for about a minute and is brought back by CPR. Despite these problems I actually think this is a little better than the first one maybe a 3.5 but not good enough to round up to a 4.
