All the usual DEI minority casting and feminism with women smarter and better than men. White female Clara's husband is revealed and to no ones surprise he's black. Just have to check that mixed race couples box they love so much. The acting is...average I guess though some of the kids aren't very good. The writing's not great and the dialogue's pretty bad. The main group of characters gets very annoying quickly.
This is another of those modern movies where they expect the viewer to root for and be on the side of a group of characters that are unlikable
and irritating. The original dystopian sci fi setup in the first 20 minutes gets totally abandoned for a standard 'group of characters takes shelter
in the wrong house' trope. This could of been set up in so many ways with the same results, group of delinquents rob a store and take shelter at a house, group of delinquents break down on the road, group of delinquents rob a house. The elaborate setup at the beginning seems mostly pointless and poorly thought out. While I did watch the entire movie it's nothing we haven't seen before. It's pretty horror lite but if you like those types of movies and can take the midlevel woke it might be worth a one time watch.

Initially I thought this French action movie was confusing and didn't make much sense. I didn't realize until 15 minutes in when the movie title in French came up on screen that it's actually the final
film in a trilogy. The original French title is Balle Perdue 3 but the English title gives no indication it's a sequel. The action sequences while
well done are reminiscent of 90's Hollywood. Every vehicles that explode into a fireball when crashed, fight scenes are highly stylized to look 'cool' while having no basis in reality. I can't say much about the story as it didn't make a lot of sense having not seen the previous movie. This just didn't interest me enough to go look them up though. For woke there is the usual DEI overrepresentation of minorities as well as having mostly females in authority roles. Overall maybe decent if you saw the
first 2 but average at best action movie. More of a 2.5 but rounded down to 2 for all the DEI junk.

The lead white female greets her white daughter, Spanish husband and black father. Sure, why not. The entire movie is populated by nothing but
DEI minorities and females. I think I might of seen 1 white male background character until the first one shows up at the 30 minute mark and he's a throwaway character in service to the black father. Actually other than the black father and Spanish husband there's almost no male characters. Every single character is female. Even the Spanish husband is a manbun wearing neutered emotional house husband.
The acting is decent but the writing is pretty bad. There is a secret bunker safe house with state of the art security cameras and defenses
to hide diplomats but all the cameras are hardwired in with large gauge conduit literally just laying everywhere above ground for anyone to
see. My internet provider buries hidden cable better than this nonsense. Most of this movie consists of noises and shapes in the dark with
the lead wondering around looking concerned. The finale gets even sillier and the creature design and CG are shockingly bad. Not recommended.

It's been a while since I watched the first one but I don't remember it having so many corny cheesy scenes in it. The FX are still great and the
story is ok as a follow up but this one just seems less fun somehow. I don't remember the first one having so much forced humor and pop culture references though I could be wrong. Also the woke is pushed significantly into this one as well. Norway is a vast majority white country yet there is DEI minorities everywhere here including crowd and background character shots. Of the six core main actors in the group there is 1 white male, 1 darker male that I couldn't find anything on, 3 white females. and 1 Iranian female. The feminist movement is very prominent here. All men are relegated to just standing around or making jokes until a much smarter woman tells them to do something. Even the white Prime Minister and his general are ineffectual idiots. The ending has the females suddenly turn into military grade arms experts firing grenade launchers with precision and rapid reloading without any training whatsoever. If you liked the first one this is worth a one time watch if you can take the heavy forced in feminism and DEI.

The opening 5 minutes is pure cringe. I initially thought it was set in modern day and just really bad with the acting, music and terrible humor. Then I thought I was wrong and it was set in the 90's sometime and it was meant to be like that. However 5 minutes later a character pulls out a smart phone and starts texting. This sets the tone for this idiotic mess. The longer it goes the worse it gets. This is slapstick pure cringe comedy that's bordering on parody. Nothing is funny and every painful joke goes on for way to long. Also this should be advertised as Sci-Fi as well as Action-Comedy and I'm not sure why it's not. The acting is ok but that's about it. The music it terrible and out of place. The fight scenes are badly shot and they use the low frame rate stutter motion effect that looks awful. I only made it to 30 minutes and I just couldn't take any more. At that point the only woke I saw was some DEI and a black father says his son is white.

Another throwback set in the 80's slasher movie. This one actually does a pretty good job with the setting. The clothes, hair, sets and language
are for the most part pretty good. These 'college' kids for the most party actually look the part with the exception of the female lead. The actress is 30 and while that's not so unusual to see that now in the 80's would of been highly unlikely. The acting is mostly good and the writing is pretty
well done, at least most of it is. This is marketed as a slasher/horror but It's not really. I would call this more of a serial killer/thriller. The last 20 or so minutes throws some hidden twists at you and starts to really stretch believability, this is also where the writing takes some hits as well. The sudden twists make earlier events questionable and there is a lot left unexplained or things that no longer make any sense. It would of worked much better as just a straight up 80's style slasher. Maybe worth a one time watch but I thought the ending really fell apart and dragged the whole thing down. Nothing really woke. There is a female forest ranger. Women were not allowed in the field as forest rangers until 1978 so a female ranger in the 80'swould be very rare but not impossible. It never says exactly what year it is but given some of the set pieces used it would most likely be later 80's

Despite what anyone thinks of Baldwin or the on set tragedy this movie should be rated on it's own merit so here goes. There's no denying the
cinematography is beautiful and the acting is pretty good. The sets look good and it's a well made film. The beginning was a bit confusing and
didn't make a lot of sense. The accidental shooting and the way if happened is a little odd (not a spoiler it's in the movie description). The writing is mostly pretty good but there are some moments of stupidity such as chasing off one of the horses to mislead any pursuers but doing so without taking the supplies an bedding off of it first was just stupid. By around the 45 minute mark the kid was starting to get annoying with his utter refusal to accept the reality of his situation. There's not a lot of action or gunfights and what little there is nobody seems to be able to hit targets right in front of them at pretty close range. At nearly 2 1/2 hours the movie seems way to long and slow. I found the whole thing kind of boring and was starting to lose interest by the 1 hour mark so I could of missed something in the second half. There is a scene where a man known as 'preacher' who's family has a history of being bounty hunters who hunt down runaway slaves goes to a whorehouse
and beds a black prostitute. Completely random pointless scene that feels like a DEI woke moment for the sake of it. If you like your westerns more slow drama then you may like this better than I did.

I have not read the original book this is based on, I have seen the original Swedish movie though it has been so long I don't remember it that much. Given the originals are a Swedish Scandinavian story they sure went out of their way to DEI up the casting. Single mom and boy that live next door are now black and the vampire character is now of Spanish/Pilipino mixed race and her guardian from the originals is now her father played by a Mexican actor. The aforementioned
black mom is a detective with an Asian partner. There is an insane amount of DEI and a ridiculous lack of white people in general with most of those being female, except the white male junkie of
course. The scene of the kid in the school cafeteria shows almost no white kids. The gift shop owner appears to be a gay Asian.
A flashback scene shows the mom played by a Brazilin actress so not sure where the half Pilipino kid comes from but whatever.
The acting is ok generally except the child actor that plays Eli is pretty poor. There is a very bad CG shot in the first episode of her running and climbing a tree. Why make that CG at all? This feels like another one of these adaptations where they try to stretch out a single book into an ongoing series by adding a bunch of nonsense not in the original and just changing everything so much it barely resembles the original. One episode was enough for me.

The acting is pretty bad. The lead is supposed to be 15 and in highschool while the actor is clearly in her 20's. All of these highschool cool 'kids' look like they are in their 20's actually. This has all the problems the original did and the director hasn't improved at all for this one. Some jarring editing and scene transitions. The Jester just isn't scary and comes off as corny more than creepy. The kills are pretty lame with very little blood and gore. The small amount of gore there is looks comical (the double eye scene in particular looks really bad).
A lot of black DEI overrepresentation including the female black police officer. All the black characters are 'good'. There is completely out of
nowhere scene where a random white male attempts to sexually assault the '15' year old. This is pretty bad overall and not recommended.

Horrible acting. Basically one of the those generic 90's dollar bin DVD's. Everything about this in amateur filmmaking. This guy is in his
70's and a war vet. The hilarious war scene that looks like it was filmed in someone's backyard looks like it's supposed to be Vietnam but he would
of been in in his late 50's to early 60's given this is in 1988. This even has the obviously bad inside the moving car green screen. I suppose it's
possible this was done on purpose but somehow I doubt it. This guy might be the worst special forces marksman in history. In the first firefight he has several chances to engage his pursues with them advancing in a bottleneck for a clear line of fire but instead falls back and allows them to enter a wide open area with plenty of cover before exposing his position. Lang gives a decent performance but it's a bit unbelievable this 74 year old would be able pull off some of the stunts and fights he's supposed to be doing here. I didn't see anything woke but unfortunately just not a good movie.
