Pha-Q woke's Reviews
I really don't know how stuff like this gets funded and released. It's like a bunch of friends took an iphone and shot a movie with virtually no
budget, then rendered in some not so special FX using a laptop and blender. The acting is not very good though some of that can probably be blamed on the bad jokes, the VFX are laughable, every joke goes on forever and the director doesn't know the meaning of subtle humor. There are some jokes that would be mildly amusing but they just don't know when to stop. Actually the whole movie feels like an SNL skit that's not really working but they decided to go ahead and stretched it out to 100 grueling minutes. I stopped around the 45 minutes mark and I could of sworn it had to be almost over. The only real woke would be maybe some DEI and the fact that out of the 3 main characters the 2 males are pretty much dumb as nails and the female is the only smart one.

What happened to Beckinsales career? This is almost the same movie and review as for her terrible Canary Black movie. It's a generic boring, badly written action film but I think it's actually the worse of the 2 movies. They are so similar in look and feel I actually think they filmed a ton of generic scenes and then edited it into 2 different movies. The acting here is not very good. Kate has the same weird deep raspy voice that sounds like she's been smoking 2 packs a day her whole life. Her hair is dyed the same and cut the same in both movies, she walks around in the same black leather coat and high heel boots that are out of place to be doing action scenes in. This one is more woke than Canary however. A lot of DEI overrepresentation, all leadership
roles and positions of power are held by females with the men being thugs and followers. Beckinsale is in her 50's and way to scrawny and small to be beating up on much smaller younger males sometimes multiple at once. They also had to have her banging the Chinese dude because we just have to get that mixed race box checked. Then
there is the deaf daughter and the use of sign language. I've seen so much of this casting having deaf characters in particular and some sort of disability in general lately this has be considered some sort of woke overrepresentation at this point. I mean only an estimated 1% of world population is deaf so this has to be a diversity and inclusion push that would fall under DEI. I gave up on this one around the 50 minute mark when she walks into an s/m club with a bunch of duds walking
around, dancing and get spanked in leather outfits. No one wants to see that garbage.

I only made it to 30 min but nothing really woke at that time. Listed as a thriller it's basically husband cheats on his wife than is harrased by
the other woman and blackmailed. The scenery and cinematography is great, at least until they get onto the hot air balloon. At this point the terrible green screen is so poorly done and noticeable. The biggest issue though is the awful acting. Although it says it is from the U.K it's like they hired all non English speaking actors. All of the lines are delivered with this sort of stilted dialogue it is so distracting and unnatural. By 30 minutes I just couldn't keep going and the story seemed like it was going to be very slow and unoriginal anyway.

Nothing really woke. Another 80's set comedy that actually does a pretty good job of getting the period right. Unfortunately it's just not
that funny. The acting is ok and the writing is decent but there's a lot of eye rolling too stupid comedy. While there is a few good genuine laughs it's not enough. It feels like it's on the verge of what could of been a great comedy, there are some really good setups for funny scenes but the punchlines and payoff too often miss the mark. The whole time I was watching it I kept visualizing ways the scenes could of been so much funnier. It's still kind of watchable but it just misses the mark a little too much in my opinion. This movie spends a lot of time bordering on hilarious it's a shame it rarely manages to get there.

It was a struggle to make it 30 minutes into this movie, not because it's woke or really bad but because it's sleep inducing levels of
boredom. Listed as a sci-fi thriller it is anything but thrilling. It's a psychological drama about astronauts in space and questioning their sanity. I feel like we get a couple of these exact same movies every year. Half the movie is flashbacks but everything is just so boring and nothing
happens. The acting is so so but Casey Afleck seems to be on valium the entire time delivering every line like he's struggling to stay awake, its
so monotone and emotionless. I didn't notice anything really woke but I was bored and losing interest pretty quickly.

This one was a little hard to rate as there are so many seasons. The first seven seasons are peak Archer, with great storylines, voice acting, and
spot on humor. I would say there is no woke in these seasons even though there are some comments it's done more in a humorous way and the show pretty much makes fun of everything with nothing being really preachy or annoying. There is a gay character and minorities show up as guest stars but again nothing is done in a woke agenda way. Then season 8,9, and 10 change and go to individual self contained theme seasons. These are a step down in quality with completely different character personalities. These seasons also start to see a little more of social justice woke stuff start to intrude a bit. It's
still not terrible but it starts to become noticeable. Season 8 is the weakest of these 3 themed seasons and i would even say is maybe skippable altogether. Season 11 is a return to normal storylines but again it's a step down in quality. A little more woke
pushes it way in and is starting to become annoying. Characters personalities are different and the humor isn't as good but this is in my opinion the last decent season. The main writer left after this season and there are a bunch of new writers after this. Season 12,13 and 14 are unwatchable woke garbage with characters almost unrecognizable now and pretty much every woke talking point and leftist nonsense injected. The jokes are stale, recycled poorly from previous seasons and all the humor is gone. There are tons of guest stars that are all woke DEI characters and a lot of leftist political storylines. Archer has been
reduced to an idiot, neutered cuck and Lana is now a screeching angry harpy that just screams every single line of dialog. I would suggest watching at least season 1-7 and if you really enjoyed those maybe 8-11 but don't waste your time after that. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 overall is because there are far more excellent to good seasons then there are terrible ones.

As others stated the only woke is some DEI overrepresentation in background characters. It's a minor thing and not even that many scenes. I can't give it a woke rating based on that alone. As far as these Conjuring universe movies go it's up there with the rest of them in my opinion. The acting is great, the FX are pretty good. There is a minimal use of jump scares and more about building tension, sounds and visuals just out of focus and actual terror. This takes place in the 80's and it actually feels like it unlike so many period movies now that just throw some music and pop culture references in and think they did good. Everything from the film style, the clothes, the décor the attitudes, they got it all right. I've been watching these from the beginning and for me this did not disappoint.

There is a good bit of DEI casting in the secondary characters but nothing too bad. The villain is a rich white male but his wife is good and
needs to teach him a lesson even though she's just as greedy as he is. The acting is ok but the writing is so implausible and not very good. These two bungling idiots are so dumb they would of realistically been caught 10 times over. They need to break in to a top of the line most secure safe that changes it's combination every 60 seconds and sends the code to a key fob or an app on your phone. Seriously? That's the worst safe security system you can have. This makes it much easier to break into the vault, you just have to steal the fob or the phone. This guy can hack into his security system at will and so whatever he wants and not get caught but never thinks to hack into the phone app? Apps are notorious for security flaws and making them vulnerable to hacking. Then there is the safe DNA scan to gain entry. I won't spoil it for anyone but if you see it's so stupid, that's not how DNA markers work, again worst security ever!!?? There's a lot of that kind of writing here. Despite that annoyances there are some genuine laughs and funny moments and we did make it all the way through. It is still watchable as a one time holiday film but not something I would ever watch again.

Watched this one a while ago and forgot to post the review so here's what I remember. It's Disney so you already know woke is a focus.
Way over the top DEI casting. Mixed race couple background characters. Main character has 2 moms. It's stated that most universe everything is free promoting the nonexistent delusional socialist utopia. The usual feminist undertones. Despite that it's not really preachy about any of it and I still thought it was a decent movie. The acting is mostly good, the
FX are well done and the story and writing aren't' too bad though it does get a little convoluted with a lot going on. It should be noted that the Wandavision miniseries is pretty much required viewing to fully understand this one though.

So listed as a crime thriller there is also a fair amount of decent humor mixed in as well. Great acting performances and while there is some
stretches in the writing it's nothing to bad and mostly well done. While his mental illness is never stated it seems like he has some sort of
schizophrenia. Having experience with someone with this I will say the depiction is very well done. The neighbor seems to be reliving days gone by or possibly not able to get on the police force so he has problems of his own. The Simon character witness a crime but nobody believes him so he seeks the help of his neighbor to solve it. Pretty fun enjoyable little crime drama. As for woke there is a short scene with a pimp who seems to be a ridiculous girlboss and her two large male thugs. It's a little silly but a very short scene. There is also some minor DEI in some of the background and secondary characters. The detective handling the missing persons case and also apparently homicide is a Spanish female. Race is never an issue and she never goes girlboss or feminist and is a pretty realistic depiction. All in all a good movie with minimal woke.
