Another streaming pile of garbage. Terrible acting and story. This is the sort of low budget garbage that was direct to video in the late 90's early 2000's. The ballerina group has the correct DEI checkmarks for diversity and it's basically just a bunch of tiny skinny females beating up the bad men. The fight choreography is awful with the dance fighting in particular is one of the stupidest things you will see in a movie. The leader of the criminal inn organization is a girl boss while
the men are all bumbling fools. Yes that is actually Uma Thurman slumming it for a paycheck. I'm now convinced putting characters with dishabilles in movies is as much DEI as anything else they do. I've seen a significant rise of deaf characters in particular in movies. In the first half they at least tried to make the small females a little more believable as they have them fight in groups of 2 or more against a single male and they use weapons like blades or clubs. The second half they just kind of give up on that however. It's still unbelievable though as the men
just flail about stupidly and wait to get hit or run straight at them and stand there while they get attacked. Rarely does a male character ever through a punch like they actually would in real life, they just push the female characters down or against a wall. It's so painfully stupid. The only positive is some decent FX and that's about it. The only reason I'm giving this 4 woke instead of 5 is because the director seemed to acknowledge the disparities in size and strength for men vs women and tried to make it more believable with the fight scenes but it still doesn't work and just comes off as a girl power movie at it's core.

Yet another feminist agenda movie weakly disguised as post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Creatures have emerged into the world to eradicate humans and a scratch or bite can infect you and turn you into a monster. Except is only affects men and very rarely women. We are half jokingly told it's because men have simply brains and are easily infected while women have complex brains. This leads to most men having been killed off and the population that's left is majority female including all the military and resistance fighters. All the men are weak betas that need to be protected. This also pushes the reasoning behind this to
the climate change hoax. While I don't consider climate change to fall under the description of woke it is politically agenda motivated propaganda. The small tiny female teenager has to save her father on multiple occasions. There is also the usual DEI overrepresentation as well. The acting is pretty bad, the story is very weak and cliché. The trailers are also misleading and sell it as an action creature post apocalypse sci-fi movie. Everything in the trailer I saw is from the first 30 or so minutes, after that it's a very slow paced survival drama between a father and daughter. The ending seems like a setup for a series more than an ending to a movie. The FX and creature designs range from weak to just laughable. The hybrids that are talked about with such fear most of the movie finally show up and seem to be almost no threat at all, slow moving and very easily dispatched. Not recommended for anyone.

Adult Children of Divorce is a comedy from 2013. There are a lot of recognizable faces and names here and the acting is good. This is a hilarious comedy about exactly what the title says. There is nothing woke here. The story is good, the humor is more grounded than silly but it works. I do think it's probably funnier to people with divorced parents or if you know someone who is. Some of the humor may not hit the same way otherwise. Still well worth a watch in my opinion.

'Inspired by a true story', except it's not, like at all. Literally the only thing that actually happened was Miami police raided a mans home and
found 22 million hidden in home depot buckets behind a wall. That's it, no cartel, no corrupt police, no murdered LEO, no shootout, no police chase, nothing. Even the officer that was involved in the production as an advisor wasn't there or involved with the real story at all.
In reality this is a completely fictional made up story, it didn't even happen in the city of Hialeah either. Sigh. As for the movie, well it's standard modern fare. The acting is pretty good and it's fine for mindless entertainment but the story and writing is not so great. It's the usual lazy writing with characters doing stupid things that trained special unit officer would do. If you don't pay too much attention it passes the time. While I don't mind Affleck or Damon they are a bit miscast in my opinion especially in the first half, they are still stuck in their Boston speech patterns and mindset, that's not how people talk in Miami, and what is with the constant nonstop F bombs, in every sentence by every character. It's not natural at all and just distracting. As for woke the diversity is not that far off given it's set in Miami but still can't help
but notice the core group consists of 2 white males, 1 Asian male, 1 black female and 1 Spanish female.

The other issue is the villains are all men and other than 1 are white
and corrupt police while the Columbian drug cartel is more honorable and not really that bad after all.

There is nothing woke here. A German WWII movie about a tank crew going on a mission to pick up an officer across dangerous territory. This is more of a drama really than a typical war action movie. There were only 2 action scenes really in the entire movie. The acting is ok I guess but not the best. The dialogue was not very good but that's possibly partially due to the translation (I watched the subtitled version). The real problem though is I just didn't really care about the characters. There's also the problem that the cinematography varied a lot. Most of the wide shots looked pretty good but the close ups looked like either green screen or CG enhanced backgrounds. It all just looked off somehow. Up until the end I might of given this 2 stars but that twist ending. Why? It just doesn't really work here and makes the entire movie just seem pointless. Even if your a fan of war movies in general it's hard to see any real reason to watch this.

The series revolves around demon hunting nuns in the catholic church. Could be decent in a sort of schlocky grindhouse over the top kind of way. The casting is DEI extravaganza of minority overrepresentation specifically where the black population is under 2%. Men are all bad or useless while the females are all badass. Why are only the nuns
warriors while all the priests are betas and seem to be morons. Why do the nuns all dress like medieval ninjas? The black nun is the usual aggressive unlikable girlboss type. 30 minutes into episode 1 and we have a obvious trans already. The leads acting is terrible. Her annoying constant voiceover narrations are even worse and just sound like she's sitting in a sound booth somewhere reading the reading the script.
Another show where the lead character is annoying and unlikable and not someone you care to waste time watching a show about.
The acting in general with a couple exceptions is pretty bad. 1 episode was enough for me especially when a quick search revealed as the show goes on there are many gay and lesbian characters introduced with major storylines revolving around same sex relationships. Cancelled after 2 season you say? A planned movie trilogy
to finish the so called storylines also cancelled after getting announced? Not surprising at all.

Nothing woke. Korean horror movie about a group who perform a séance and bring ghosts. Cliché and been done to death by now. The acting isn't very good the scares are lame and don't work and the whole thing is rather boring.

More Fun Then It Should Be

Basically a homage to 90's stoner comedies and actually does a good job with it. The acting is pretty good and it's typical of those types of comedies. Stupid, silly and yet somehow fun. Your enjoyment of this will depend on how you feel about those types of movies. It hits all the clichés and follows all the usual rules. Probably not for everyone but I enjoyed it enough. The only real woke is maybe some overrepresentation in DEI casting. I'm giving it a one for that but even that isn't that bad or all that over the top.

Another hurricane/horror movie. Starts off ok, there is a large hurricane approaching and most people are acting appropriately. Boarding up, businesses are closing, people leaving town. However then they say the interstate is closed due to flooding. What? The storm hasn't made landfall and its barely raining yet they closed the evacuation route? Nope. Then a character who's standing on a dock by the water has a printout showing the storm right off shore and says it's so big they may have to create a category 6. The graph clearly labels it as a cat 4 with 172mph winds. That would be 5 not a 4 plus those winds are very
bad but there have been storms that strong in reality so not as outrageous as they make it sound. On top of all that if it was that close to land conditions would be terrible already yet it's not raining there is no wind and the sun is shining as they look at storm clouds out to sea. The lazy writing is already showing at only 10 minutes in. We are then told it's 22 minutes until landfall yet people are still out driving around, getting supplies. Mandatory evacuations are playing over the radio which in reality would be a shelter in place notice, 22 minutes is way to late to attempt an evacuation. Once the storm makes landfall consistency goes completely out the window. Cutting from
scenes of extremely high winds and storm surge flooding the town to people still out driving around with light rain and little to no wind. Within minutes of landfall and flooding there's 2 people paddling around on a tiny boat and one of the characters claims 'I can't see a damn thing' while it's barely raining with clear visibility!! They pull up a satellite view of the town during landfall mind you and get a clear view of the town with no clouds in sight!! How did this trash director get 30 million in funding for this horrible garbage movie? I'm done
I can't take it anymore this is utter garbage. I made it 30 minutes and that's it.
Woke aspects-
There are 2 main families, a black uncle and his niece who are a normal decent family and he's smart well spoken marine biologist and a good Uncle, and a white trash redneck family and with 3 foster kids where the father is a p.o.s. moronic loser who treats the kids like garbage. Turns out they are just using the kids to get a government paycheck. All the white characters seem to be idiots with the black family being the only rational smart ones.

The person this is based on's ex wife was spanish so that is accurate and not a woke element. Also the best friend in the story was kept
mostly secretive to who he really was so having a black character is entirely possible. He's barely in it anyway and race is never brought up. There is the pastor and his wife who are mixed race white male and black female but I couldn't find if this is accurate or not. It could be a woke moment but I can't say for sure, and again race is never mentioned. The acting is good and this seems to be very accurate to the real story. Every time something would happen and I was sure there was no way it could be true and sure enough it turned out to be true. It's surprising how someone this smart could be so stupid at the same time. I feel like the movie drags a bit especially in the second half and could of been a bit shorter. Overall not a bad movie but it's not really what I was expecting. A decent watch and at least it doesn't seem to make a lot of it up like so many true story story movies do now.
