This was a surprise for a movie from the U.K I'd never heard of. Basically a middle aged loser and his friends refusing to grow up while battling drug addiction and a recurring pattern of self destructive behavior and violence. He gets arrested and has 6 months of probation to turn his life around or face prison time and lose his wife and kid. While it's all done in a very comedic way it also deals with some very realistic problems. I've known people like this including the wife that just can't seem to get out of a bad relationship and just keeps giving him more and more chances despite constant failures and refusing to change. So while it does deal with some very serious material this is a dark comedy at heart and I personally found it hilarious with excellent comedic timing and laugh out loud moments. The acting is good and the writing is tight and well thought out. I would highly recommend this if you enjoy
self aware English humor. Just be aware it's extremely vulgar and not for clean family viewing. As for woke there is maybe a bit much for DEI casting but the characters are shown to be good and bad. There are few woke comments but they seem to be more making fun or using it for comedic purposes.
