Meat Kills

This is a Dutch slasher horror movie. The general idea is a group of people pick on the wrong family and it turns out badly, sort of. The villains here are a family of 3 white male pig farmers, that's it. The 'hero's' are a radical violent terrorist animal rights group. You read that right. The hero group consists of 5 people 1 blue haired violent white feminist, 1 white female, 1 violent white male, 1 calm generally decent Indian male and 1 calm generally decent black female. Not off to a good start are we. Our hero group breaks in and vandalizes the farm then kidnaps 2 of the farmers and proceeds to mutilate one of them then torture, mutilate
and murder the other one. Then when the farmers get the upper hand to take revenge our group of terrorist are suddenly the victims and have to survive the night. These types of movies can work when done right, this isn't it. The entire film never changes perspective and seems to desperately want us to root for the terrorists. The problem is
they are so despicable, insane and just downright evil. The farmers on the other hand are never shown to be doing anything wrong other than in the eyes of the self righteous group. They snap and take revenge only after they are attacked and one of them tortured and murdered. It's a shame because this is a well made film. The acting is decent and the
FX are very well done. There are buckets of blood and gore with a couple of really brutal scenes. It's watchable for horror aficionados who can look past the politics.
