The Outpost
The mission was survival.
A small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.

Nothing woke. Based on a true story that took place between 2006-2009. This deserved to get more attention than it did. Extremely well made, visceral, gritty and uncomfortable war movie. Excellent acting and cinematography. Great FX for a budget of only 18 million. This is close quarters down and dirty filmmaking at it's finest. Highly recommended and also to look up the true story as well. What happened here is completely avoidable and shows yet again the incompetency of government and should piss you off. Make sure to watch through the credits for interviews with the real soldiers involved.
