Good but could be better!
I don't see any woke here, but the movie was okay to watch!

Turned it off after 30 minutes
The first thing I noticed is it was trying to be 'quirky' instead of gritty like the original karate kid, and the main character is a nerdy poonce unlike Daniel in the original.
But despite that it was going okay and I was prepared to give it a chance.
Not 'wokeness' as in gay shit, trannies and such in that time.
BUT.. just as bad, like most modern movies and shows there's an unbearable, disrespectful, cuntish girl in it who becomes his friend and constantly is disrespecting her dad. I had enough of that shit and turned it off.
Otherwise it could have been okay. Why do they keep pretending women/girls are meant to be like that, making them completely disrespectful and aggressive which no man with any self respect wants to see or deal with.
Sounds like Dave Reimer is used to his wife and other women being completely disrespectful cunts and has his balls in her handbag so much that he's pretending it's not happening, since he's used to being an emasculated fucktard.
Most likely wrote his review from his chair in the corner of the room while sipping a soy latte while watching his wife bang a black man, while wondering what bs he can make up for his review. Seems like he didn't even watch the original movie.

Don't know what movie Ben was watching. The girl was cuntish? seriously?
The first movie was 'gritty'? Daniel, in the first movie, couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag. This karate kid had some serious skills as did his opponent. Good story line though not original.
I guess Ben's a delicate flower who's easily offended.

Lazy Writing At Its Finest. BORING AF.
Jeez, where to begin? Ok, other than the forced DEI here in there for all the extras, it's not really woke, it's just a bad movie, a very bad movie. You can tell that the actors tried their best with what they had to work with, but other than Victor (the dad), no one is likeable, not even Jackie Chan himself. The dialogue is boring, the story is lazy, the villains are absolutely meh, even the soundtrack is weird and it tries so hard to scream "retro" but fails.
Remember how the villains were actually threatening and intimidating on the previous movies? Remember Johnny and all the Cobra Kai guys?, Kreese?, Chozen?, Sato? TERRY fucking SILVER? They would kill you, destroy a village, ruin your image, or at least make your life so miserable in so many ways! Thus leading the main character to find help and ultimately a solution to the problem! That's what Karate Kid is been all about, but not this movie, oh, no!
If you are expecting an exciting climactic tournament with lots of rivalries, taunts, and lots of tension building and a thrilling fight at the end, NOPE, not even that. Oh, you were expecting amazing training scenes with lots of cool ideas and stunts? NOPE, not that either. It will NEVER make you feel like the fight is even necessary, it will never make you feel invested at all.
Honestly, the only enjoyable moments are when the story focus on Victor, who is strangely super likeable for some reason, but that's only a little bit of the movie. Now that I think about it, his scenes are the only part of the movie that actually feel like Karate Kid, isn't that sad?
If you are a fan, DON'T. Seriously, don't.
