A nuclear bomb is detonated in Los Angeles, and the nation devolves into unprecedented chaos. Ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson and his family escape to The Homestead, an eccentric prepper’s fortress nestled in the mountains. As violent threats and apocalyptic conditions creep toward their borders, the residents of The Homestead are left to wonder: how long can a group of people resist both the dangers of human nature and the bloodshed at their doorstep?

The acting is up and down and the writing is terrible and makes no sense. Annoying characters that act like idiots and unrealistically. They keep saying that a nuke was detonated off the CA coast. There is a mushroom cloud that seems to support this but no concussion blast or shockwave. They also keep referring to a bioweapon. It instantly knocks out the power grid like an EMP but yet cell phones work and the electric car is fine. Also, a prepper with an electric car? Sure. I made it 30 minutes and it was just to poorly done to continue. It was moving very slowly and kept introducing more seemingly main character I kept thinking it felt like the start of a series rather than a movie. Turns out it is in fact a pilot for a series falsely marketed as a movie. The only woke I saw in the 30 minutes I watched was the mandatory mixed race couple.
