Quite good!

It has the hallmarks of an awful woke movie- strong female protagonists and male characters are (generally) bad. The racism depicted in the film is a key point in the film as well.
I'm not American, so my knowledge of segregation and racism in the USA is limited, but HF feels like a reasonable representation of racism and the era it is set in. The male characters do come around and treat the women respectfully by the end of the film. Having said that, in at least one instance, it's clear that a man who seems racist early on is just a standard stoic type of character under a lot of stress instead. Overall, the film deals with several very sensitive issues and presents them quite well IMHO.
If nothing else, it's a thought-provoking film that could easily start some great conversations.
