Amazing (and disturbing) zombie film...

Very well made film on a limited budget... Grainy footage makes it seem all the more realistic in a zombie apocalypse...
No wokeness- just some great characters (male and female). There's not preaching, no agendas promoted here.

Amazing film!

No wokeness, the main female character is relatable, realistic and inspiring. She is a perfect example of female empowerment in films without agenda pushing.

Intense and interesting...

I don't recall any woke elements, but the film has a tough job trying to live up to the expectations fans have from the original film... This one isn't as good IMO, but is still a great development and exploration of the rage virus, the U.K. and characters dealing with this new world...

Quite good!

It has the hallmarks of an awful woke movie- strong female protagonists and male characters are (generally) bad. The racism depicted in the film is a key point in the film as well.
I'm not American, so my knowledge of segregation and racism in the USA is limited, but HF feels like a reasonable representation of racism and the era it is set in. The male characters do come around and treat the women respectfully by the end of the film. Having said that, in at least one instance, it's clear that a man who seems racist early on is just a standard stoic type of character under a lot of stress instead. Overall, the film deals with several very sensitive issues and presents them quite well IMHO.
If nothing else, it's a thought-provoking film that could easily start some great conversations.

Crazy but somehow very grounded.

The film focuses on the marriage between Carrell and Fey's characters, their growth through the film as well as their dependence on each other. They are both strong (albeit, each with many flaws) and they are stronger when they are helping each other solve their problems together.
The script is crazy at times, over the top excesses of miscommunication and bad decisions made- but the heart of the film is very much grounded in real relationships, real issues and lived experiences. As a parent, there were so many details that rang so true- whether being bombarded by the kids way too early in the morning- all the way through to the husband and wife's in-jokes and their responses to the limitations in their own marriage.
Highly recommended.

Exciting film that ties in lots of elements from the previous ones...

*Minor Spoilers* (Though I've tried to be vague on the detail...)

The villain gives a long monologue about the 'rich elite' who control everyone and use people as pawns... But given that he's the villain, there's no real merit to his rant.
There's a clearly virus enhanced woman whose fighting skills are more than equal to the protagonists (except that it's never stated that she is enhanced)...
Overall, the guys and the gals all take a part in fighting, rescuing and saving each other as a good team should.
RE:DI is a fun movie that allows each of the main RE heroes to shine. It is great being able to see Leon, Jill, Chris, Claire and Rebecca all in on the action. (Rebecca is the one who has the least screen time, but she plays an important role nonetheless).

Absolutely abominable.

I saw a clip of this that my children were watching and was surprised to see a child (babysitter) in a scene was standing up for another (young) child in a hospital. I was curious about it and researched more about the show and the episode I had seen the clip from. It turns out that the episode was about a babysitter looking after a child (about 8 y/o) who is transgender. The babysitter needed to take the child to the hospital (don't ask me how they got there without adults)... In the hospital, the doctors refer to their new young patient by their DNA based, 'given' at birth sex (gender). The heroic (read delusional) babysitter takes the doctor and nurse out of the young patient's room and berates them for not using the correct pronouns. It's propaganda targeting children like this that can be so damaging. It doesn't take a genius to figure that if the doctors acted as if they were treating a girl, when their patient is clearly a boy in a dress, they could cause all sorts of damage. This show encourages young kids to advocate for gender transitioning. Despicable.

I love The Office...

except that there were so many times that the writers could have included some good overall representations of religious beliefs... Angela is the dominant Christian character who also happens to be the least likeable character- judgemental, hypocritical and rude to others in the show. Every other character gets some great moments and/ or story arcs, but the overt Christian is a jerk. Even the characters who do (in one episode) comment on their religious affiliations, (almost) never show any actual commitment or impact of their 'beliefs' in any other episodes.
Having said that, this show is amazing. Definitely recommended viewing.

What the other review says... ;)

It's a shame because before the film I was very hyped for CM. Unfortunately, the gender stereotyping, girl=good, boy=bad ideology, blatantly unlikeable characters etc made this one a chore to get through. I've rated it overall higher than everyone so far, probably just because it seems like the film was better in my mind when comparing it to Phase 4 of MCU...

While the film is entertaining, it's obviously made for a woke audience.
The incredibly talented, intelligent, perceptive and sleuth Sherlock is continually bettered by his obviously far more talented little sister.
I might have rated the film higher, but the pandering to the 'modern audience' just frustrated me no end.
