Jason Momoa is kinda gay
The movie unfolds at a blistering pace, sparing no time for reprieve as it hurtles from one action sequence to another. An endless spectacle of explosive showdowns and thrilling combat ensures there's never a dull moment. If you're able to overlook the narrative aspect of the saga, you'll likely enjoy it. Although engaging overall, the film suffers from an excess of storylines.
What truly irked me, however, was the handling of my favorite character, portrayed by Jason Momoa. The movie made a questionable decision to subvert his masculinity (for instance, by having him paint his nails and those of the deceased in one scene). At the same time, he asserts, "masculinity should be taken down a notch these days". With Momoa being one of the most archetypically masculine actors I can imagine, this attempt to de-emphasize his masculinity seems unnecessary and somewhat off the mark.

Stupidly Insane and Very Woke
I get that this is basically a cartoon come to life, but over and over again, you are hit over the head with physically impossible scenes. On top of that we have a bunch of middle age woman destroying hundreds of fully armored male assassin/bodyguards. It's like every other scene. Oh and don't forget girl boss Brie Larson shows up to Captain Marvel everyone, no need for powers. John Cena comes in as the long white good guy and turns out to be a loser dork who has to blow himself up to redeem himself. It's ridiculous. Jason Momoa plays an over the top gay/tranny evil weirdo Joker character, who is painting his nails and other weird crap. At least he is the villain. The other white hero type character turns out to be another evil asshole.
We are only a few steps away from the Movie "Ass" featured in Idiocracy.

It's exactly what it's supposed to be
In a Hollywood landscape where spectacle reigns supreme, the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise delivers on its brand promise: a thrilling rollercoaster ride that plunges us into a world beyond the reach of reality, just as we recline with a bucket of popcorn and disengage from the mundane constraints of our everyday existence.
The introduction of Jason Momoa in an antagonistic role initially stirred ambivalence in me, a testament to his familiar portrayal of more heroic characters. His performance, while not exactly masterful, nonetheless takes an intriguing trajectory on screen. Momoa manages to convey the erratic nuances of a true psychopath, sufficiently contributing to the film's ensemble cast. Over time, I found myself appreciating his character's evolution, which was a decent portrayal, albeit not extraordinary.
Staying true to its franchise roots, the movie embodies a whirlwind of high-octane action, convoluted plot turns, and a pace that leaves you barely catching your breath. It's a testament to the franchise's unwavering commitment to keep its audience on the edge of their seats.
Regarding the perception of 'wokeness', it is critical to draw the line between genuine attempts at inclusivity and the mere stretching of our disbelief for the sake of entertainment. The movie unabashedly embraces the latter. For instance, the spectacle of a lightweight female protagonist overcoming multiple male adversaries with brute force is a trope that predates the current discussions around representation and diversity. Think Elektra, Ultraviolet, and The Fifth Element; these movies weren't making a socio-political statement - they were capitalizing on the sheer exhilaration of seeing the improbable. It's a feature that has been ingrained in Hollywood long before the discourse of wokeness, and Fast and Furious, with its flamboyantly exaggerated reality, is an ardent subscriber to this tradition.
I posit that the filmmakers were not consciously propelling a female-centric or feminist agenda in this narrative. Even if such an undercurrent existed, it never infringed upon or compromised the film's palpable masculinity. The Fast and Furious franchise has perpetually reveled in its flamboyance, distancing itself from the boundaries of plausible reality. This deliberate deviation from the conventional, far from undermining the quintessence of masculinity, serves to amplify it, orchestrating a cinematic spectacle that, while perhaps not vying for accolades, provides an undeniable sense of enjoyment for its audience.
The appearance of Brie Larson was a bit of a jarring note in the symphony, though I suspect her minor role is an introductory platform for more substantial involvement in the impending trilogy.
In summary, the film lives up to the Fast and Furious identity: action-soaked, exuberantly-paced, and a feast for the imagination of those who appreciate cinema as an escape from reality. It's not a film for the critical eye seeking meticulous authenticity; it's an adrenaline-filled joyride for those ready to throw reality out the window and get lost in the sheer spectacle of it all.

Typical F&F sequel
Jumps the shark and drives into outer space. Wrong sequel. This one too jumps the shark, as have the latter half of sequels, portrays "Aquaman" as a flamboyant Joker, brings back the dead (again?), and sets up for yet another sequel. Scroll down to the cast for spoiler. Mild woke, def not a 5 or 4 as others have indicated. There were no changing white characters to black/brown, neither were there any woke elements or indoctrination, to merit a 5 or 4.

A New Low For A Franchise Already Scrapping The Bottom
Woke consists of girl bosses, girl power and the laughably bad Jason Momoa anti-masculinity flamboyant character. Right at the beginning we have a small female character beating up a room full of trained full body armored men in hand to hand combat. As others have mentioned I'm not actually sure this is meant to be woke as the movie is so stupid, brain dead and cartoonish with reality this just fits right in with the rest of it. The acting is horrible the dialogue and attempts at humor terrible. The CG ranges from pretty good to looking like a bad xbox game. The action sequences are so stupid and gravity defying physics everyone in this would of been dead 100 times over already. Cars are completely crunched in and demolished in one scene then driving around like nothing happened in the very next cut. This is another one only for the low IQ gen Z crowd.
