If the storm doesn't get you... they will
When a huge hurricane hits her hometown in Florida, Haley ignores evacuation orders to look for her father. After finding him badly wounded, both are trapped by the flood. With virtually no time to escape the storm, they discover that rising water levels are the least of their problems.

Pha-Q woke
More Zero Effort Writing
Didn't notice any woke. I'm giving this a 1 only because some of the gator FX where ok. The acting is mediocre and the FX are passable but the writing, my God the writing. This was made by people who have never experienced a hurricane and didn't bother doing any research whatsoever. At the start it is stated a Category 5 is making landfall and a tv clearly shows it's right of the coast of Florida and most of the state is
covered by rain bands already. Keep in mind a Cat 5 is a MINIMUM of 157mph sustained winds. Not counting wind gusts that can be much higher. We are talking downed power lines and trees everywhere. Major home damage and completely leveled buildings. Flying large debris everywhere. Nothing depicted in this is even close to what a cat 5 looks like. The college isn't on lockdown and students are just going about there day. Not likely. Evacuations are still happening with roads full of cars. Again not likely all evacuations would be done by this point. Police are stationed at a blockade and later in the middle of the movie show up at the house in a boat. Nope, once that storm is coming in all emergency services are halted and you are on your own
until it is safe for them to start operations. Huge inconsistency with wind, some scenes the trees are really blowing and others there is no
movement at all. Character is standing outside at one point with her hair completely still. Character is out just casually driving around and looters
are out in boats, in the middle of a cat 5 hurricane. Sure. No storm shutters or boards are put up on any windows and nothing is put away from people yards, everything is just left out to fly around like a missile. This is standard procedure for anyone in FL when a hurricane is coming. Why is she crawling around in the mud under the house when the camera clearly shows there is standing room or at standing hunched over. Character actually out swims alligators even when they have the trajectory advantage over her. You must be kidding. A helicopter rooftop rescue in the middle of a Cat 5 landfall. I mean are they
even trying. This should of been an entertaining creature movie but they just couldn't be bothered with a little research and accuracy.
