One woke character
The film is actually better than it looks, with a standard save-the-miners trucker hauling stuff in a big rig across a dangerous ice road.
There is only one woke element, and that’s a pipsqueak teenage girly-girl who also of course happens to be a super-skilled stunt driving tucker who of course yells “racist” any time anyone criticizes her, and of COURSE is a social justice warrior activist. But is it enough to call the film woke? No. She’s just insufferable and you wish she’d die the whole time. But just that.

Not woke
A couple of cheesy woke lines was the extent of it but didn't rise to the level of mild woke. I wouldn't exactly say woke free though since the lines were noticeable and forced. Black character wasn't too token. Indigenous female character wasn't too token either. Overall, a good movie and worth the watch.

Changed my mind. Not full of gay miners.
Amber Midthunder runs around calling white people racist and trying to get her land back. That's about as preachy as it gets. She is a Native American actress, so good for her. Actually, I watched this before and thought that I turned it off because there were a bunch of gay miners trapped, but I think that was a different movie. There's so many movies with that going on, I sometimes forget.
It's a fun, wintery cold movie. CGI extreme, but what can we do about that? I recommend it. It's good.
