I Saw the TV Glow
Look a little closer.

Holy Hell. Thank you Michaels. Hard pass on the trans-binary gender identity progressive nonsense. Do people actually watch these movies intentionally? Or is it more like going to the university where they just kind of get you when you're young, crawl in your head and fester.
Let's see. This movie gets fairly good reviews but upon further investigation, I see it's rated PG-13, involves tween kids with the main storyline being that the one girl is a lesbian.
So, I ask if any one of the Woke 'R Not crowd can step up and watch this film for me and kindly report back? That'd be great. It gets good reviews, but I can't just leap into a "PG-13, kid-focused lesbian-driven plot" film from the deep end. Thanks.

Trans film by trans director/writer
I have not seen the film, but because the above review asked and because the front page is currently full of spam, I will reply.
The director and writer is "Jane" Schoenbrun, a Jewish man who identifies as trans (male to female) but non-binary (wut?), according to Wikipedia. He is married to a woman, but he is also polyamorous, and one of his lovers was the first to suggest that he might actually be trans. His pronouns are they/them, but since he is not royalty I will not refer to him as such, and since he does not pass I won't grant a begrudging she/her.
This is a deeply confused person. Even he admitted, "I don’t think my relationship to gender is something that I completely understand. It’s actually quite comforting to embrace incoherence." He does pretty much nothing but queer films, spreading his confusion to others.

Here, let me ChatGPT-4o that for you:
"I Saw The TV Glow" is a modern film that heavily emphasizes themes of gender identity and queer narratives, often at the expense of subtlety. Directed by Jane Schoenbrun, it follows Owen, a teenager grappling with identity through his obsession with a 90s TV show, "The Pink Opaque". While the film is visually stimulating and features strong performances, its overtly didactic approach may feel alienating to some viewers. It often prioritizes virtue signaling over nuanced storytelling, making it more of a lecture than a compelling narrative.
