Good "remake" with a great cast.
I didn't expect this to be a remake of the movie "Alive". I mean, remember all the controversy surrounding the cannibalism? Actually, I don't think there was. Maybe a little buzz.
I think Society of the Snow does a better job than Alive from an authentic perspective and it tells the story better, but in the end I was like, "must we go over this eating people thing again?".
I will say that casting dudes from Uruguay and other non-Ethan Hawk lands was a great decision. Not a bad film. Check it out.

Alive again
This is a Spanish language version of the true story we saw in Alive. I watched with subtitles. Compared to Alive, this one goes deeper into the psychology and emotions and is slightly better as a result.
There is really no room for wokeness in normal society, much less in a "Society of the Snow", and thankfully there is absolutely nothing woke here.
It gets my seal of approval.
