Entertaining and non-woke.
No wokeness, SJW etc.
The movie itself is a solid 4 out of 5. Not a 5 because of a "deus ex machina" element.

Unpolished but enjoyable
Like "The Covenant", the plot of "Warhorse One" centers around escaping the Taliban. It is not woke.
Although the movie is enjoyable, something feels off in the acting and flow. It is like a made-for-TV movie in that you can sometimes see the "seams" of the production. The little girl's acting is superb, though, and the lead guy is fully competent.
At least it is not woke. If anything, the film is a bit anti-woke, as characters are critical of Biden's hurried half-assed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
I quite liked that the director made a "Chekhov’s Gun” fake-out. It has to do with a skill the little girl learns but then *doesn't* use later. However, a "deus ex machina" is invoked instead.
Overall, it is worth a watch as popcorn entertainment. Its positives more than make up for its flaws.
