I had heard this was woke and bad but I was surprised at just how bad and how woke this actually turned out to be. I made it through
2 episodes so this will cover those first 2 episodes. First of all be aware this has virtually nothing to do with Resident Evil other than
stealing the names from the game and having zombies. The entire story is told with two different time frames. Current post zombie outbreak and past before leading up to the outbreak. Current is any generic zombie apocalypse story you've seen before and past is oddly an annoying melodramatic teen angsty CW show with irritating pop music.

Episode 1-The acting is terrible, it's the first thing you will notice, the CG is pretty bad as well. The DEI casting is insane. Did the white people all die? There seems to be every other representation but white people are an extreme minority. Our hero is a black female involved in a mixed race relationship of course. Why not. We are introduced to race swapped black Wesker (white in the games) and his twin daughters, 1 black and 1 mixed race white/Polynesian. Wait what? We are given some lazy 5 sec explanation how that's possible then quickly move on. While we are at it
Wesker in the games has no daughters but a son. I'm putting that in the woke column as gender swapping. Jade (our black twin DEI hero) spouts some racist anti white comments. The adult version of Jade is a Mary Sue character, she knows everything and can do anything. Teenage version is a terrible angry, aggressive unlikable character. Actually both sisters are rather unlikable and annoying and this is who the entire show is built around. The writing is as bad as the acting. One of the first scenes has our DEI hero being chased by a horde of zombies, as one of them catches up to her and tackles her to the ground the rest of the horde
that are right on top of them swarms over her and finishes her off. Ok makes sense and not a bad start right? Well it would be if this show didn't have lazy incompetent writers. Instead when she's tackled and laying on the ground fighting of the zombie the rest of the horde just suddenly stops and starts shambling around aimlessly right next to
her without attacking while she fights of the zombie and escapes. In the past the two sisters are able to break into Umbrellas high security using a digital cell phone message of Weskers voice. That's the extent of their security. No guards anywhere, or any other security they just get in and wonder all over at will. Episode one ends with Jade taking a running flying leap over a cliff and it's where episode 2 starts-

That cliff appears to be about 40ft at least and she falls and crashed on top of a bus in front of another horde of zombies and just gets up like nothing happened and takes of running. Those zombie just slowly turn to look in her direction then just stand there waiting for her to start running before giving chase. As she's saved by another black character and clinging to the roof of a car they are fast approaching
a narrow opening with spike place to kill whatever's on the roof. Rather than just letting go and rolling of the top she just lays there yelling for the driver to stop. In the past somehow a single usb stick pugged into a random pc inside Umbrella is able to wipe out all hard drives and security cameras for the entire facility in about
10 seconds. At this point our Umbrella girlboss is introduced and she Spanish. In her first scene she gets into an argument with her white lesbian partner. Girlboss, lesbian, Spanish and mixed race couple, that's a lot of woke points. The scene of her arguing is pointless and only there to make a statement. Later in the episode when she has
her second scene the first thing she's asked is 'how's your wife" just in case we forgot she's a lesbian. There is a self taught hacker high school kid on a laptop that manages to bypass Umbrellas firewall and access the entire system in about 10 seconds. At this point I'm wondering why Umbrella even has security. The acting in the second episode actually gets worse as does the DEI casting. Almost no white people at all anywhere and if one does show up they will turn out to be bad or stupid, every single time. 2 episodes was it for me as this was not surprisingly cancelled at 1 season only and there was no reason to continue torturing myself any further.
