Samantha's Reviews
Sigh... I wish Netflix would get it right
Look, you have a simple job. Just do the show as written!
The real One Piece anime is like Star Wars. It enjoys fans from both the left and right wing. So you have this perfect formula... and you instead decide to alienate everyone right of center.
Namie is badass but not a "strong woman". Nuh, let's make her just slightly better than Captain Marvel. Because it's not like she doesn't have an established character, and realistically be more of thinker than a fighter. Nope, let's make her completely awesome not only mentally but physically because we need more strong women (large hint: you make strong women by making strong WOMEN, not STRONG women).
Zoro is a sweet guy who saves a girl from a wolf. Instead they derailed his character by making him just a typical Asian dude. They kind of pre-empted his character by switching up stuff and cutting out what was really cool about him to do what seemed cool.
Luffy was alright, but I didn't like how they made him seem like a weaker fighter to make Nami look good, and I really don't like how Nami's spunk turns into radical feminism.
I'd say the wokeness is fairly mild, but it definitely exists. I also don't like how all the pirates in the Gold Roger scene seem multi-racial. Just play the story as written, please!

Pretty Woke Free
Oda is probably a liberal, but he has a good head on his shoulders. Many of the more evil actions of the villains, a Republican would agree are evil (slavery, elitism, genetic experimentation, and the state stamping on human faces). So it has across the board support whether you're left or right of center.
The Live Action is next to be reviewed though...

I watched so you don't have to
That said, I didn't get very far.
There first few minutes has a 2001 Space Odyssey moment where they are telling us "Since the dawn of time there were dolls, but only baby dolls." And this get boring, so Barbie shows up and they smash babies. Holdup, so basically a pro-abortion message?
I didn't care about the trans Barbie because they weren't super obvious. But I stopped watching around the point of hijab Barbie. I'm sorry, but if you want to talk about feminism, and you undercut your message by having them want to be "jobs" that basically abuse women and keep them down, you've gone woke. Likewise, if you talk about feminism, but men can be successful women, you're gone woke. How does that uphold the message of Barbie about working women if trans women can basically take their jobs?

Ice Fantasy, Not Ice Fantasy Destiny
From the plot descriptions, this is referring the Ice Fantasy (meaning they might have gotten covers mixed up).
To clarify, Ice Fantasy proper is about ancient times and the one I binge-watched on Netflix before they canceled it for not being woke enough. It is sweeping drama that is often sad concerning a war between the ice and fire tribes with the humans and mermaids caught in the middle. Also the opening song Shouldn't Be is incredibly good. It features magic and extended time loops that would make that one scene in Doctor Strange jealous. It was occasionally difficult to sort out what was going on, and occasionally cheesy, but it was fun to watch.
Ice Fantasy Destiny, I haven't seen, but it appears to be a sequel set in modern times.

Fast Forward Challenge!
I tried to fast forward just through woke elements to see if I could just watch Ray's and Kylo Ren's story (Ray was an "empowered woman" but sizably better than Rose or PurplyHair or Leia). I found that it was a much shorter story and I lost much of the plot in the process.

If you liked Sound of Freedom...
Also watch this film. It's older, but it builds on the problem of human trafficking, showing what it's like for adult women.

Woke Free and Must Watch
Anyone struggling to understand why illegal immigration is bad, remember these four words, "Human trafficking is slavery." Every time we allow in a "family" of undocumented immigrants, what actually happens is... the woman gets sold to a brothel, the children (male or female) get sold to sick freak pedophiles, and the man might be a drug dealer or they might be used for work slavery. In other words, the woke people pushing for universal immigration are in support of slavery. If this wasn't obvious by their endorsement of mass incarceration followed by "work-parole", basically legalized slavery that doesn't result in jobs outside of prison.

Just From The Preview Below...
Let's see, strong Mary Sue woman with nature powers redirects a stampede of what appears to be buffalo. I'm getting some vague environmentalism preaching here, as well as anti-gun and/or anti-hunting, because you know, people don't need meat to live. She meets a guy in town, so I suppose we should be thankful they aren't pushing angry lesbian ideas.
She also grows plants and a flat makes her body glow. Although I have a soft spot for cute anime girls with green hair this gets a pass. Not a hard pass, but a soft pass. Princess Mononoke's better, though.

Not Woke
It elaborates how climate change narrative forces people to eat literal bugs, and everyone is trapped on a train together. There is some class warfare, but it seems ironically caused by the same sort of woke "egalitarian" elements that claim they will solve everyone's problems. Essentially, the climate change types are the bad guys, forcing a strict control on food and even people. They claim that they are preventing overpopulation on the train, but they could have built another train. They could even have, oh I dunno, not tried to blot out the sun in the first place.

Started Out Normal
Much like The Rookie of American TV, Call the Midwife started fairly normal. However, unlike The Rookie, it appears these changes were not due to pressure from woke interest groups. Oh no. Rather it feels like something far more insidious. Rather they are slow selling wokeness and especially the idea of abortion on demand by pushing it through the lens of seemingly unassuming nuns. It's like this: Nonnatus House (clever viewers understand that Nonnatus is a sneaky pun for non-natal, as in "no children being born"). They show childbirth after childbirth, and gullible viewers are supposed to gush over the children and not notice what they are indoctrinated about. But the overall picture is that the streets of Britain are literally just crawling with new babies every day, causing poverty, filth, and overcrowding. Then by about season 8, they openly say that if abortion were legal, there wouldn't be the problems of back alley abortions. Oh really. Because children sucked through straws and dumped into biohazard bins, or formerly living humans in jars, or parents dying from rusty tools isn't ever a problem. We also have the typical racial revisionism, with early 50s and 60s British streets filled with Muslims, blacks, Hindus, etc. But what is completely disgusting is how the show plays on people's feelings in order to slowly get them used to the idea that abortion is fine. I liked the series until I realized what I was watching. Then I routinely go for a snack when the show turns on.
