The daughter is a lesbian, and the moment the shit hits the fan, her father becomes inept, hysterical, and stupid (dumb evil white man in a suit and tie), while the mother remains calm and rational. Typical feminist role reversal.
The script is incredibly bad, the movie makes zero sense. The family's stuck in a bathroom, which looks like a flat actually, and they're peeing in front of each other, and there's no explanation why they're stuck in it rather than just being stuck in the house with all the rooms being accessible.

Nothing political here whatsoever, no preaching at all. Coz it's a Mexican film?
Good premise, clumsy script botches it.

There is no politics in this one, amazingly enough. Aside from a T-shirt saying "end apartheid", there isn't really much else. The main character is played by a black actor, which might have been a DEI choice, but he's so good that it doesn't matter even if he was.
The film itself is top of the line cosmic horror.

Zero politics.
Very non-commercial film, slow paced and atmospheric. Superior photography coz it's reminiscent of the 70s where the plot is set.

Feminist anti-male trash. Hilariously bad.

Poor little immigrant girl is rejected because of her Indian heritage so she is "forced" to assimilate with the evil, intolerant white majority.
That's almost as bad as it gets.

This plays out more like a bogus leftist "history" lesson about American Indians than like an actual horror film that wants to entertain. There's plenty of bullshit about "white man bad" doing bad bad things to Indians, the film delves on it too long and too often, as if hammering that point home was far more important than the plot itself.
Plus, from the main four male characters, the Latino guy and the black guy are nice, whereas a white guy is a borderline sociopath. There is even a touch of Girl Boss nonsense at one point.
So no, this movie doesn't try to hide its Sorosian leanings. The filmmakers were more concerned with pleasing their billionaire Marxist overlords than making a fun film, which this is extremely far from being. It is very boring, really bad, with horrible acting and a massively drawn out plot.
