Comedy is dying...

Or has it been dying for a while already?
Either way, it’s crazy how they blow millions making these movies with dozens of people involved, but they won’t spend the right amount or even a decent amount to get a solid script.

Am I surprised? Nah, not even a little. Honestly, I’m starting to get used to it, and that’s the worst part of all. There’s gonna come a point where people just stop consuming this garbage and the whole genre starts becoming dead. At least when it comes to movies, because in the theaters there’s still some real ones left like Ricky Gervais who actually dare to do comedy the way it’s supposed to be done.

Now, my simplest take is this: if you wanna put on a comedy as background noise for a hangout with friends, it’s perfect. Otherwise it doesn’t make much sense → it’s genuinely bad. Except for one single scene that I’m not gonna spoil, so at least the people who still decide to watch it get that one good laugh.

That’s it! I don’t recommend it, but it’s watchable. Bad, yeah… but watchable. Incredible!

Oh, and of course it’s woke. A whole bunch of DEI casting, and Tenaya Taylor shows up looking like she’d do a better job as a painting hanging on the wall than actually delivering her own lines. No comment.
