The Shawshank Redemption
Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.
Imprisoned in the 1940s for the double murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a new life at the Shawshank prison, where he puts his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. During his long stretch in prison, Dufresne comes to be admired by the other inmates -- including an older prisoner named Red -- for his integrity and unquenchable sense of hope.

Enjoyable film with usual agenda push
Morgan Freeman plays as Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding who is blackwashed in the movie. There are a couple of more agenda changes.
Usual push to make White people think black people are like them.

Not Woke
Morgan Freeman is an excellent "Red" and adds a great deal to the movie.
A great film about rising up and persevering over the worst hardships that life deals out. And the friendships that make it possible.
