Awake not Woke!

I didn't notice any woke but I only survived 30 minutes of this abomination. Typical fish out of water with misfit kids story. The acting is pretty bad espicailly by the kids. They are the biggest problem with this movie. In order for this to work you need to like or at least be hoping it turns out ok for the kids. These kids have no redeeming value at all. These are the worst p.o.s. little assholes you will ever see. Within 10 minutes I already hated them and was hoping they would all fall into a wood chipper and be done with. The writing is just garbage and none of the jokes are funny. There is no world where child services would see that house with those appalling living conditions combined with the disgusting filthy appearance of the kids and not instantly take them away. Complete nonsense.

Season 7 has perfected DEI!!

They've got it all; an empowered black female lead, a mixed race couple, gender swapping, race swapping, gay, Asian, elderly female actress, obese women, and incompetent and evil white men. Just about every woke trope you can imagine is encompassed in episode 3. It wasn't too overt but I had no idea that Disney + had taken over Black Mirror.

No woke

Pretty decent movie with nothing woke, but the gen z dialogue can get a bit heavy handed at times.

Gay mixed race brown/white lead couple whos entire story seems to be 'we are gay and life is hard for us' Their acting is by far the worst of the bunch and they are so over the top all over each other obnoxiously super gay. Asian female house sitter/friend fill out the DEI boxes. This is yet another failed horror/comedy. The horror is not scary and more of the silly parody type. The comedy is unfunny awkward eye rolling cringe humor. Parker Posey is actually the best thing about this movie but has hardly any screen time so it's not worth watching just for her scenes.
